The story of a photographer
My name is Kelsey, and photography has always felt less like a hobby and more like a calling. Long before it became my career, it was something woven into my everyday life—especially after I began photographing my own children. That’s when everything changed. Through my lens, I discovered the power of freezing time, of capturing not just how a moment looks, but how it feels.
There’s a certain excitement that hits right after clicking the shutter—a quiet thrill knowing you’ve just preserved something real. A laugh that won’t sound the same in a year. A tiny hand that will grow too fast. A fleeting expression that perfectly reflects who someone truly is in that season of life. I fell in love with every part of the process: the anticipation, the creativity, and the ability to look back at an image and feel transported right back to that moment.
What started as documenting my own kids quickly grew into something bigger than I ever imagined. With a lot of practice, patience, and a little leap of faith (okay… a lot of practice 😄), photography turned into a full-time career—one I am endlessly grateful for. All it took was a few people trusting me with their memories, and everything took off from there. I still don’t take that trust lightly.
I understand that kids have short attention spans, and that’s why my approach is fast, efficient, and fun. I specialize in quick sessions that capture genuine moments before little ones are ready to move on. There’s no pressure for perfection—just real expressions, natural movement, and images that reflect your family exactly as you are in this moment.
I believe photography is about connection, authenticity, and savoring the fleeting moments we will never get back. The ones we don’t realize are special until time has passed. It is truly an honor to preserve these memories for families and to turn everyday moments into something lasting and meaningful.
